The written exam for your permit or license in Georgia will be offered at your local DDS Customer Service Center. The test is divided into two parts of 20 multiple-choice questions each. The questions are pulled from the 2018 Georgia Drivers Manual and are split into those that focus on road signs, and those for road rules. You can take the written test for your permit starting at age 15. There will be a $10 fee to take your test at your local DDS Customer Service Center, payable each time you retake the written test; the same fee is required when you go to take your driving test for your intermediate license. While you’re there, you’ll be required to show your identification, proof of current school attendance if you’re under 18, and pass a standard vision test. This DDS practice test in Exam Mode will replicate what it will be like to take your real knowledge test, as hints and answers are disabled and the test will end early if you answer too many questions incorrectly.
